The San Francisco Chronicle is calling 49ers running back Frank Gore an official game-time decision for Sunday in St. Louis.
Doctors have told him that he would not risk further injury by playing.

Is it typical that they will announce his availability one hour prior to kickoff?
I past on Rhodes last night leaving myself and gamble on Sunday's game with Gore/Foster (who I have both). I also grabbed Sammy Morris of of waivers. We are looking at sub-freezing temps and snow/rain at Foxboro for Sunday. Any thoughts about playing Morris over Gore/Foster.
I was scared away from Rhodes last night when they announced Addai was inactive. Addai didn't end up playing. My biggest fear is that SF makes Gore active but doesn't play him. How could you pass up Gore on your lineup if he is active?... I am really afraid of getting burned here.
I'd love to hear any thoughts.
