ESPN's John Clayton confirms that Joseph Addai is "probably going to miss" Sunday's game against Detroit.

Walter Jones Out For Year

Seahawks OL Walter Jones has undergone arthrscopic surgery and will miss the rest of the season.

 

Hasselbeck Out Again

Seahawks QB Matt Hasselbeck has been ruled out again for this Sundays game.

Seneca Wallace will start in his place.

Brandon Jacobs Out Sunday

The New York Daily News reports that Giants RB Brandon Jacobs will miss Sunday nights game due to an injured left knee.

Jacobs missed practice on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Derrick Ward will start in his place.

Williams Wall To Play Rest Of Season

Startribune.com reports that U.S. District Judge Paul Magnuson asked both parties (The NFL and the Williams Boys) to propose a schedule by Dec. 22 to file pleadings in the case.

That means Minnesota's Kevin and Pat Williams are cleared to play for at the rest of the regualr season and into the playoffs if the Vikings advance.

Jeff Garcia Out Sunday??

The Tampa Tribune reports that Bucs QB Jeff Garcia was limited in Bucs practice again Thursday and is expected to be a game-time decision at Atlanta in Week 15.

 

Luke McCown has gotten most of the first-team practice reps this week.

Saturday To Return For Colts?

The Indy Star reports that barring a setback in practice this week, center Jeff Saturday expects to be in the lineup against Detroit. "That's the plan,'' he said. The three-time Pro Bowl selection has missed the past two games with a strained calf muscle.

Culpepper Out Sunday

Lions QB Daunte Culpepper will not play in Week 15, says the Detroit News, but head coach Rod Marinelli says his shoulder sprain "is not something that's gonna be a long-term (injury)."

 

Fred Taylor Done For Season

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Fred Taylor is done for the season as the Jags  placed him on injured reserve.

Taylor tore ligaments in his thumb during Sunday’s game against the Bears, and he’ll need surgery to repair the injury.

Tarvaris Jackson To Start, Frerotte Out 2 Weeks??

Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson will get the start on Sunday.

The Minneapolis Star Tribune goes further and reports that regular starting quarterback Gus Frerotte is expected to miss two weeks with a fracture in his back.

 

Addai Out Sunday??

Colts RB Joseph Addai missed Colts practice on Wednesday.

According to colts.com, head coach Tony Dungy says Addai "may not be able to play" against the Lions.

Brandon Jacobs Status Up In The Air

Giants RB Brandon Jacobs' status for Week 15 against the Cowboys isn't up to him.

The AP quotes Jacobs, "It's just something that keeps nagging and nagging," he said. "Me going out and playing on it the last seven weeks, it didn't make it any better. I have to do what they tell me to do and hope it gets better. I want to be healthy for (the playoffs)."

Greg Jones Done

The Jacksonville Jaguars have placed fullback Greg Jones on injured reserve with an ankle injury.

Not hard to love a guy who just had 200 yards against Carolina.   Atlanta is not as tough as Carolina and Bryant is just plain hot

Against the Lions??   Really??   Peyton will fire early to Wayne/Harrison/Gonzalez/Clark and get a huge lead.   Then, they will run with Addai and Rhodes and kill clock and build their lead.   Yes, the Lions D is that bad.

Tony Gonzalez
San Diego can't cover Tight Ends.   Plus, Tony G is on a red hot streak.  QB Thigpen looks to Gonzo over and over again.   A big day's a comin!!

Isaac Bruce
Bruce has been playing well with Shaun Hill at QB.   The Phins give up big passing plays, so Bruce has a nice opportunity.

Thomas Jones
This is a guy I routinely hated all last season.   Gotta love red hot Running Backs.   He is at home this weekend, and he just dominates there.  He has 8 TDs in the past 4 home games.

Andre Johnson
I know he's facing the Titans.   But ESPN.com brought up a good point.   The Titans corners aren't 100% and Johnson has been playing very well.   And now Schaub is back for a 2nd week, and they will hook up, especially if the Texans have to play catch up.

Maurice Jones-Drew
Green Bay can't stop the run.   Plus, MJD's upside has gone through the roof since they've incorporated him in the Jags passing game.   No running back has more receiving yards.   He's a safe play.

Kurt Warner/Anquan Boldin/Larry Fitzgerald
First, all 3 of these guys are pretty good to begin with.   Second, the Viking run D is fantastic, so the Cards probably won't even try to run.   Even when they are up by 21.  They will throw, throw, throw, throw, throw.

Sammy Morris
He's up against the Raiders who are 30th against the run.  And now he's on a bit of a scoring streak, having scored a TD in back-to-back games.   Plus, he's still the Pats choice to carry the rock at the goal.

Brian Westbrook
Wow.  Is there anyone better than a healthy Westbrook??   Eagles are fighting for their lives, and the Brown are terrible.   Everything says he's the best of the entire bunch this week

Matt Ryan
Tampa Bay is 4th against the pass and now they are pissed.   The rookie is going to feel the wrath this week.

Larry Johnson
Denver stopped him last week.  DENVER!!   The Chargers won't have any problem with LJ.    In fact, the Chargers haven't allowed a rushing TD in 6 games.   Yikes!!

Tim Hightower
The Vikings are excellent against the run.   I don't think the Cards will run 10 times.   They will throw all day, and Hightower will disappear behind the Williams Wall.

The Denver Running Game
The Broncos are down to their 6th running back this season.   This offense will be pass first and pass often.   And I think the Broncos will be behind and more throwing will commence.

Willie Parker
Parker has never had more than 63 yards rushing against the Ravens who have a top 5 run D.   And Mewelde Moore has been more effective anyway.

Derrick Mason
I think he'll put up ok numbers, but in 19 career games against Pittsburgh, he has never scored.   That's enough for me.

Chris Chambers
Phillip Rivers looks to Vincent Jackson for the big pass play now.  Chambers is nothing more than a fluke if he scores.

Fred Taylor
The only good thing is that the Pack can't stop the run.   But it's clearly Maurice Jones-Drews team now.   Taylor is having his worst YPR season in 7 years.

Mushin Muhammid
Carolina is going to run all day against Denver.   And when the pass, it'll be Steve Smith.  

Bernard Berrian
This is only a hate if Tarvaris Jackson is playing.   T-Jack just can't get the ball deep which limits Berrians upside.

Matt Jones Suspended

Per Jaguars.com, the NFL announced today that Jacksonville WR Matt Jones will be suspended for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy and will miss the last 3 games.

If you recall, Jones was arrested this summer and charged with possession of a controlled substance. He had been appealing the subsequent suspension, but that appeal has now been denied.

 

JaMarcus Russell MRI

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that the MRI on Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell's ankle revealed just a lot of bruising

The Raiders coaching staff is optimistic that Russell should play Sunday for the Raiders

 

 

Bruschi Done??

The Boston Herald reports that Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi is expected to miss the rest of the season.
